Meet the Team
Dr. Mouzi and Dr. Escobedo’s journey began in 2006 at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, where years of studying, laughing, and growing together led to their graduation in 2010 and marriage soon after. They moved to Houston with their Siberian Husky, Otto—now the practice mascot.
When Covid shifted life for everyone, Dr. Escobedo pursued his passion for orthodontics, and they both moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he completed a three-year residency. Though this temporarily paused their practice dream, they are now back home in Houston—more excited than ever to serve their community.
Dr. Daniel Escobedo
Orthodontist
Dr. Daniel Escobedo, your board-certified orthodontist, grew up in Corpus Christi, where his parents instilled the values of education and hard work. After graduating with honors from Incarnate Word Academy, he went on to earn his Biology degree with honors at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, where he also helped establish the first pre-dental society. He later completed advanced residency training in orthodontics at the Georgia School of Orthodontic, where he also served as faculty, associate professor, and Invisalign Director. An active member and leader in the Houston Hispanic Dental Association and several study clubs, he continues to stay at the forefront of his field through teaching and continuing education.
Dr. Sara Mouzi
Dentist
Dr. Sara Mouzi, your general restorative dentist, is a proud Houstonian. After graduating from Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions, she earned her B.S. in Biology and Chemistry with honors from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!). Dentistry became her calling as it combined her love of science and art—allowing her to create beautiful smiles while building lasting relationships. This practice holds special meaning for her, as the land has been in her family for over 40 years.

The vision for Montrose Dental and Orthodontic Studio grew from over 15 years of experience and a shared dream by Dr. Mouzi and Dr. Escobedo: to create a space where patients feel truly seen, heard, and cared for. In a world where connection is often rushed, we take time to make every interaction meaningful.
